adidas Stan Smith

adidas Stan Smith

Born in 1964 as a tennis shoe, this adidas Stan Smith (previously called Robert Haillet) had a rubber outsole and an upper that replaced the three stripes with three strips of side holes for greater breathability. In 1971 it was given the name of Stan Smith, the most famous tennis player of the moment, and presented a new silhouette with foam reinforcement to protect the Achilles heel. The name and portrait of the tennis player in the tongue popularized the shoe in the 80s, becoming a cult classic of the German brand.

OrthoLite® Insole

The OrthoLite® insole is designed to combat the formation of odors and to prevent fungus - keeping feet dry and evaporating moisture. These insoles also serve to provide extra adjustment and cushioning, so your shoes remain comfortable wherever you go.

Midsole EVA

EVA is a soft, light, and flexible material mainly used in the midsole of retro-running and lifestyle sneakers for cushioning. Midsoles are cut and shaped from flat sheets of EVA foam. The name stands for Ethylene Vinyl Acetate, a man-made material, which is extremely elastic, but also provides excellent toughness.
