The new launching from Asics has reunited two major retailers: Afew and Beams. The result is an exclusive sneaker in limited edition named "Orange Koi"

The silhouette is inspired by the Gel-Lyte III and presents an upper made of premium nubuck of high quality in orange and light grey tones where details are what marks the difference.  It's the case of the divided tongue, the world map drawing in one of the shoes on the heel and the word "friendship" written in Japanese on the other shoe.

ASICS Tiger Gel-Lyte III

ASICS Tiger Gel-Lyte III

In 1990, the ASICS Gel Lyte III was released for the first time in Japan. Three years earlier, a first model introduced the GEL technology, which provided great cushioning. The Gel-Lyte 3 silhouette has an EVA midsole that includes a new GEL layer and a split tongue for better fixation. The colorways of Shigeyuki Mitsui's OG design were inspired by the hip-hop culture and, more than 25 years later, these sneakers are still an essential of the sneaker culture.

Split tongue

Split tongue construction is one of the main features of the ASICS Tiger Gel-Lyte III silhouette, eliminating the usual side-to-side tongue movement.

GEL cushioning offers optimal comfort and support. Placed within the sneaker's midsole at key impact areas, GEL helps reduce the impact in the foot experienced in all types of sporting activities.
