Japanese brand ASICS Tiger is releasing this Christmas the “Tandoori” pack featuring their two most iconic silhouettes: the GEL-Lyte III and the GEL-Lyte V. The pack is inspired by the rich red coloring of the Indian tandoori spice.

A tandoor is a clay oven used in traditional Indian cooking to slow roast food, and it can reach a extremely high temperature (close to 1000 degrees Fahrenheit!). In the Western world, the word “tandoori” refers to a specific flavor rather than a method of meat cooking. This flavor comes from the tandoori seasoning, made with spices such as coriander, cumin, paprika and red pepper, among others.

The upper of these ASICS Tiger sneakers take the spice red hues of this Asian seasoning, mixing suede with mesh. These kicks also feature a contrasting midsole in “naan bread” colorway and a rugged gum outsole.

The “Tandoori” pack is releasing on Friday 23, first-in-store in Madrid. Remember we have a great selection of ASICS Tiger sneakers in our online and physical stores. Featuring a sock-like inner bootie and Gel cushioning system, we’re sure you will fall in love with these lifestyle kicks!
