The Convent dels Àngels is one of the most privileged of spaces in Barcelona for its structural aspect (as its own name already indicates: it’s a convent), but, above all, as it only opens its doors on special occasions to hold events of rupturist spirit… Events like the presentation to society of Sivasdescalzo’s app. And, if anything ended up surprising our guests that would precisely be how this space articulated itself in a game of lasers and optical effects that didn’t alter the architecture of the place, but in fact, it created new ephemeral and intangible architectures, that were almost virtual, and conversed with the stone walls of the Convent.
Yet the truth is that best of all is what happened inside those walls: just in the middle of this privileged space, a completely uncovered booth put two DJs in the centre of a dedicated audience that danced first to the beats of Louisahhh (who left the rhythm very high with a session that made people wish it were the early hours of the morning… and that never ended), and later the star guest of the night, Benji B. For the occasion, the current musical director of Louis Vuitton and BBC Radio 1 presenter weaved a combination of hits that started out slow and sort of soft but started going up in tempo until there wasn’t any other alternative than kind of forgetting about the people around you and focus on dancing.
