Their newest season, the first one at SVD, is The Layered Edition™. Created together with The Woolmark Company and GORE-TEX, two brands historically connected to technological evolution, this new collection is designed from layers in the whole design process, it starts with the thread that forms the structures and it even reaches the functionality and shape which are used.
BYBORRE PRESENTS THE LAYERED EDITION™
More than a brand, BYBORRE is considered to be a studio of textile innovation that works developing materials and researching on functionality and aesthetics through textiles. From Amsterdam, a key city for the industry’s evolution and textile evolution, BYBORRE opts for redesigning the process of creating garments through a responsible consumption in which they propose ideas, forms and products. The garments that receive the BYBORRE label are only the final step, the proof of a process, the sign that this new construction is possible.
The garments are designed to interact in different superimposed layers, with detachable pieces and pockets designed to complement each other. The new construction techniques regulate the temperature placing different fabrics in areas with different functionality. Heavier fabrics are used in the central areas to provide hear, whilst the lighter ones are used in areas that require a wider range of movement, with GORE-TEX in the exterior garments to ensure impermeability.
These are different fabrics fused in garments created for movement and functionality that arrive this season to SVD.
