The German photographer made a name for himself in the nineties with an “ugly” aesthetic and by abusing flash (according to himself, that was the only option available given the lighting in London). In a world of great models, Teller reflected something more than just the physical through his work for Marc Jacobs, Helmut Lang or Yves Saint Laurent.
JUERGEN TELLER STARS IN ASICS AND KIKO KOSTADINOV’S LATEST CAMPAIGN

The Bulgarian designer once again is collaborating with Asics through a new silhouette, the GEL-KORIKA, that blends ideas from running (Nimbus) and basketball models (Gelburst RS Z).To present the new ASIVS model he has looked for a name as unpredictable as Kostadinov himself, Juergen Teller.
His campaign for the new Asics x Kiko Kostadinov shows Teller himself in an iconoclast sports outfit in unexpected places, like a crop field, a fountain or a bathroo (in which the appearance of a Karl Ove Knausgaard surprises us).
Two colourways for men and two for women (chosen by Laura Deanna Fanning) that Juergen Teller combines with fluorescent trousers and his already usual nudity in a campaign that could be found in a weird holiday photo album.
