KAZUKI KURAISHI PRESENTS HIS NEW CAPSULE COLLECTION FOR THE NORTH FACE BLACK SERIES

Kazuki Kuraishi lived in the countryside since childhood, where he would go on adventures in nature with his father. Indecisive on whether he should go for a future in design or the outdoors, he decided to study in Colorado, where he could build his curriculum whilst chasing his dream of becoming a snowboarder and a mountain biker.

It was in the United States where Kazuki Kuraishi became a host for Shinsuke Takizawa’s (NBHD) or Nigo’s (BAPE) American travels and he started to collaborate with different brands that appreciated his imagery that showed Japanese influences and his snowboarding details. The connection with outdoor sports was most appreciated through his graphic legacy but on certain occasions, they also appreciated his athletic elements.

From there, Fragment, Visvim, WTAPS, NBHD, adidas with Mark McNairy and The North Face, that offered him to take charge of the Black Series, a capsule collection that revolves around the urban exploration as its principal concept.

Hybrids that mix fashion and inspiration with an outdoor perspective for urban use. Innovative design, premium details and technology developed to become today’s urban explorer’s uniform. Pockets and straps for the items to be transported and worn at any single moment.

Reinterpretations of a classic The North Face product, adapted for urban necessities as it is appropriate for its motto, inspired by the outdoors, designed for the city.
