We partnered with Dr. Martens and Elástica Films to host a private screening of the movie everyone is talking about.

If you have a phone and internet access, you’re probably aware of the buzz surrounding The Substance, the second feature by French director Coralie Fargeat, starring Demi Moore as a middle-aged Hollywood actress who falls victim to her own vanity.

At SVD, we’re avid movie fans, which is why we created SVD MOVIE NIGHTS: a series of private screenings and premieres where we enjoy the magic of cinema with friends and style.

Thanks to our friends at Elástica Films, we got our hands on the most anticipated movie of the year and invited members of our community to watch it before anyone else in Spain, with full support from Dr. Martens to make it all happen.

To truly immerse ourselves in The Substance, Soho House Barcelona was the perfect spot. It has the most comfortable movie theater in the city, along with a great sound system that makes you feel like you’re watching a film at a friend’s house.

What could be a better Thursday night plan than getting together with your friends, eating popcorn, having a drink, and hearing Demi Moore scream? Hard to beat that.
